Offering fresh-caught seafood, homemade pasta and tropical deserts, the The Rock Restaurant is probably one of the coolest places to eat in the world.
Uniquely positioned on a rock jutting out of the Indian Ocean, this exclusive seafood joint used to be a fisherman post just off of Michanvi Pingwe beach on the south-east coast of the island.
Since it was founded in 2010, the restaurant has been completely redecorated to match the laid back local style. But don’t let the chill vibes fool you… the food is to-die-for.

You can access The Rock by foot at low tide, or by boat at high tide. If you are planning to visit, be sure to make reservations as this place fills up fast!
